Protect & Generate Energy

One of the biggest lessons I have learned from years of experience and failure


That protecting one's energy is VITAL


What’s the #1 thing YOU do that creates (protects) energy for you?


And are you even AWARE of it (wake up warrior)


Above - Doing more things that make you check your phone less will definitely help protect your energy!


Confidence and Energy are VITAL for modern men, possibly for women too but I'm not sure as I've never been a woman :p

What I DO know is energy is something we create (not something you have) and your energy is one of the biggest factors in your happiness..


See, one of the most critical things ⁣that stops people from improving their life...


Whether that's their body, mindset, business/career, and levelling up to relationships?⁣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗬 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 ⁣ When your practice the skill of bringing energy to every situation and challenge Things will transform for you AND impacts EVERYONE you spend time and cross paths with


And energy is vital because what is it that dictates our actions?


You know, for improving our results, reality, - life


Our thoughts and feelings dictate our actions and what is it that dictates our thoughts and feelings?


That will be our actions (not positive thinking) DOING always outweighs talking AND thinking


Scientifically, the human brain is at it's happiest when making progress which is why you always feel better when you achieve something. However, doing requires ENERGY


If you think about it, when we FEEL (that word again) tired this will mean your energy is running on low and you are every LITTLE situation becomes a big deal..


You then may not feel like doing the required and start avoiding or procrastinating?


Similar deal stress for example, you know when those 'experts' tell you to AVOID negative people and stressful situations


POOR


Of course who we hang out with and the environment plays a part but avoidance, NOTHING changes


Avoidance is why the majority are not living the lives they truly desire (for another day - check out the 'overwhelm' post?)


Stress is inevitable especially if you are striving, as mentioned before life is a growth experience not a comfort experience


So when they tell you to lower stress? Lowering it = lowering results


NOBODY ever looks at ways of INCREASING your capacity to deal with the ongoing inevitable stress


However, if you feel LOW on that energy it will only amplify the stress you are FEELING

(This is why we have a system that actually increases our capacity to deal with stress NOT avoid OR lower it)


Low energy = Low mood, low confidence, low tolerance, poor choices, sedating with junk/booze etc etc etc


This is why protecting our energy (and confidence are vital) and why it's part of the balanced wake up warrior 5-pillar system for optimum health, fitness, happiness, and wellbeing.


Anyone that coaches people will tell you that it can be draining on ones energy, even if you love what you do...


So, how do you protect your energy?

Also, attempting to get a good nights sleep will obviously help - I always FEEL great and produce way more


Daily self care habits as detailed in the no 1 priority post


Journaling is great as it makes all/any problem a simple puzzle to solve instead of creating worse feelings in your head


Do something fun every day, ideally no destructive fun, if you don't feel great you can't be great.


Holidays and travel, or even just a change of scenery are great way of broadening your horizons and recharging.


Food (and drink) is fuel then being mindful of what we consume is also important and why we incorporate conscious consumption (not dieting) you know taking responsibility...


Put good things in get good things out!


It's not only the food/drink we consume so attempt to do more things that make you check your phone less.


We incorporate little mini blackouts - time away from that phone - Yeah you may not like that but...


Your phone is the biggest thief of your discipline and also many peoples happiness


So by taking that time out allows me to enjoy being present and less disconnected, not having constant distractions getting triggered (inner pain) by irrelevant sh*t


It also brings about calm, refreshes energy, leading to better moods, sleep, wellness, relationships etc etc etc


Why it always makes me FEEL great, strong, full of energy and ready to serve again


Back in the day, before I had a strategy in place to protect my confidence and energy I would sedate to change the way I feel. These days we use non destructive state shifters to change the way we feel and take action on what we want..


Many people continue with that 'avoidance' and sedate how they feel whether it's with booze, drugs, junk food, shopping, holidays etc and that will be partly due to their lack of energy


Which brings about a lack of progress and purpose - more feelings on low energy mood, self-esteem, and worth with means more unhappiness and the cycle continues.


So, keep an eye on your boozing as there is a direct connection to feelings of anxiety, low mood, depression etc to how much booze (and whatever else) you put away.


I mean, you can’t put diesel in a petrol engine and then wonder why its f8cked


Remember that YOU have the biggest impact on your health and wellness


Also, consider that Life is a growth centred experience and NOT a comfort based one


Hence, ‘shiz’ will always come your way.... even and especially when you’re trying to improve and grow


The challenge free life doesn’t exist so you may as well seek out the challenge that inspires you


Rather Than constantly have to deal with challenges that drain you and your energy
